  • The 2006 Syrah was harvested October 5th from our Big Ranch Vineyard® in the Oak Knoll District. To the Syrah we added 4% Viognier from the Fortunati Vineyard and cold soaked the must for 6 days. Fermentation was in small bins and hand punched down over the next 10 days. This process added a floral component and “un-locked” the wine to express both the power of Syrah and the finesse of the Viognier.
